Pella Windows and Doors

Nord Alta Construction has been selling and installing Pella windows and Pella doors since 1995 as a certified Pella Contractor.
What makes Pella products different?
Pella windows are wood metal clad, achieving a maintenance free exterior as well as provide the consumer with a large selection of custom colors. The interior millwork is furniture grade finishing with no nail holes to fill and is attractive whether it is painted or stain finished. With features such as shading options between the glass and replications of a historical style, this product is truly one of a kind. Pella windows and doors have an extensive product line that will suit every budget need from entry level to feature packed, all of which offer some of the best warranties in the industry.
Are the more expensive Pella product lines better quality than the less expensive?
Whether choosing Pella’s entry-level window (Proline) or upscale window (Architect Series), customers will find that the same care and attention to detail is found throughout the different Pella lines. Pella’s entire product is wood metal clad. They offer the Proline product at such a great deal because they are mass produced on an assembly line, in specific sizes and colors only, that cater to the new home builder’s market. Pella’s other product lines, such as the Designer Series and Architect Series, are both product lines that cater to the replacement and upscale markets because the windows or doors are specifically manufactured for each client.

What kind of maintenance should a consumer expect with a Pella Product?
There are very few, if any products that are totally maintenance free. For example, most windows have interior trim work that needs to be painted from time to time whether they are PVC, wood or other another material. Some windows seal units may fail prematurely and have to be replaced at a considerable expense after the warranty expires. Pella’s metal clad window exterior makes it relatively maintenance free.
What kind of warranties are available?
Some manufacturers in the window and door industry claim a lifetime warranty for their products. In truth, some window manufacturers only warranty part of the window for a lifetime and only under the ambiguous definition of “normal wear and tear” while other parts such as the sealed unit is only warranted for five years and the hardware and frame for a slightly longer period. Most window manufacturers do not even put a name on their product. Then, no matter what the warranty is, the chance is poor that the consumer will know who the manufacturer is to have it repaired or replaced. Pella windows have clearly marked hardware with their name on it as well as other identifying features that help to date the product for warranty purposes.
